The Speedcar Super Series will make its long awaited return to the famed high banks of Sungold Stadium Premier Speedway, Warrnambool for round 7 of the 2009-10 edition of the Speedcar Super Series on Saturday February 13, 2010, with thanks to Warrnambool Rapid Mix Concrete.
With the very best drivers from right around Australia set to converge on Warrnambool for a wild and wingless night of Speedcar action all race fans are urged to get along and check out the Mighty Midgets.
“We at Premier Speedway are really excited to have the Speedcar Super Series on board for the 2009-10 season, what we now need is for the Speedway community to vote with their feet and show us that Speedcars really do have a place on our calendar. I am sure that Ken Jenkins and his team will bring a top class show to the table”, Premier Speedway General Manager David Mills said.
“The support of Warrnambool Rapid Mix Concrete cannot be underestimated either, without their support these type of events are difficult to co-ordinate as we set about encouraging all Speedway fans to come along to Warrnambool in February because we feel the racing these guys will put on will be some of the best Speedcar action seen anywhere”, Mills added.
The board and management of Premier Speedway have been closely monitoring the Speedcar Super Series over the past couple of seasons and with the National Championship set to be decided just a week after the Warrnambool round saw the opportunity to showcase the class and continue to educate the Premier Speedway fans as to the abilities of some of the drivers and teams, much the same as they did last season with the re-introduction of the Super Sean Tri-City Challenge which was a truly amazing night of racing.
As a part of Warrnambool Rapid Mix’s commitment to the Premier Speedway Club some notable improvements have already been implemented at the venue prior to the commencement of the season.
“There were a couple of areas we wanted to improve, which is the way we tend to operate as a Club, with the wings on the start chute and some repairs to the pole line we have now achieved that and look forward to working with Warrnambool Rapid Mix Concrete on the next phase of our improvements”, Mills said.
