Classic Entry Forms On-Line as Early Birds Lock In!




The 2020 South West Conveyancing Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic may still be more than three months away, but entry forms are available to potential participants, with three drivers having already signaled their intent to be at Warrnambool come January 24-26, 2020.

With South West Conveyancing again on board for 2020 and tremendous support coming via KFC, The Lady Bay Resort, Performance Racegear, GJ Gardner Homes and KRE Race Engines the Classic again promises to be an exciting three nights of Sprintcar Racing!

The three drivers, James McFadden, Peter Doukas and Grant Anderson, have taken advantage of being able to enter early having already lodged their entries.

McFadden who is coming off a strong American season racing for Kasey Kahne Racing, will again be behind the wheel of the Monte Motorsports W17 machine.

The distinctive Monte entry will be adorned with the livery of an army of team sponsors including Daniel Trucking, GT Bobcat, Valvoline, South West Conveyancing, Borne Apparel, Performance Racegear, Camden Signs, T & D Wholesale, Aleabrax Systems and BK racing TI Components.

The 2017 Classic Champion finished 5th in 2019, however his campaign in the USA, which netted James a Knoxville 360 Nationals Crown, an eighth place finish in the 410 Knoxville Nationals, Four All-Star Circuit of Champions victories from just 14 Feature Race starts, as well as four top 5 finishes with the World of Outlaws, will hold him in great stead ahead of the Australian summer and another tilt at the Classic.

Having produced a career best 10th place finish in 2018, 2019 proved a little tougher for Warrnambool’s Peter Doukas.

A tough qualifying night saw him mired in the B-Main before he rallied on the final night of competition moving forwards in his heat before winning C-Main 2 and again going forward in the second of the B-Main’s where he wound up his Classic run with an 11th place run.

For 2020 the always wonderfully presented Peter Doukas number 98 entry will again enjoyable plenty of local support as he lives out yet another chapter in his childhood dream at the Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic.

The third of the early entries is one of the more consistent performers at Premier Speedway in recent seasons, the driver of the Monds Motorsports, WASP Steering & Suspension, Townend Service Centre, Bockman Batteries and FUCHS Lubricants number 37, Grant Anderson.

Ando finished 6th in the 2019 Classic and won his Prelim Night in 2018 in addition to winning a round of World Series Sprintcars at Premier Speedway last season, being on the podium at the 2019 Easter Sprintcar Trail and finishing second in the 2018-19 Parr Motorsports Track Premiership, proving he knows what it takes to get the job done at Warrnambool.

With a rebranded outfit, with some familiar faces aboard the V37 campaign Ando will again be one to watch when the Classic rolls into town.

All race fans are reminded that the anticipated launch of on-line ticket sales for not only the 2020 South West Conveyancing Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic but every meeting of the 2019-20 season at Sungold Stadium is scheduled for October 21, 2019 at 9.00am, with all interested parties advised to keep an eye on the Club’s website and social media platforms for more information as the date approaches.
