Premier Speedway comes back to life this Saturday November 4 with a fantastic field of cars for the season-opening event presented by Warrnambool Offroad and ARB.

Sprintcars, Pro Sprintcars and Modified Sedans are all on the program for the Sungold Stadium Premier Speedway action.

Sprintcars will compete in both the SRA Open Sprintcar Series and Round 1 of the 2023/24 Total Tools Warrnambool Track Championship. There is a healthy nomination list of forty-two Sprintcars from five states of Australia.

The nominated field contains Brock Hallett the defending Total Tools Warrnambool Track Championship and current Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic champion.

The quality doesn’t stop there with current Australian Champion Jock Goodyer, former Australian Champion Marcus Dumesny from New South Wales and former ‘Classic’ Champ Lochie McHugh from Queensland, fresh off a last-start win in Toowoomba.

Also fresh off a win albeit in a different form of motorsport is Supercar star Cam Waters, nominated for this weekend’s event. Waters joins a host of stars including local Jamie Veal, Murray Bridge’s Ryan Jones and emerging talent such as Tasmanian Tate Frost, Jye Corbet, Jordyn Brazier and last start SRA round winner Rusty Hickman.

The Pro Sprintcars have a great field of twenty-five nominated for the opening C&H Trucking Series round which includes Lochie McHugh and Jamie Veal performing Sprintcar double duty. They join defending C&H Trucking Series winner Jordan Rae aboard the Domain Ramsay owned V9.

Modified Sedans make a welcome return for the VMPA Tritech Lubricants series with twenty-seven nominations which includes current Australian Champion Jarod Waters from Mildura with his Mercedes entry. VMPA series Round 1 winner Wade McCarthy also from Mildura is nominated along with round 1 runner up Shane Roycroft. The field is littered with quality including Kye Walters, Darcy Wilson, Dylan Barrow, Daniel Simpson, Brody Chrystie and the returning Chris Hayden to name a few of the series regulars.
