Sungold Stadium Premier Speedway will kick off the 2023 Pro Sprints Triple Crown this Saturday evening, April 1 presented by 3YB and Coast FM.
Over twenty Pro Sprints have nominated for Round 1 of the A Plus Powder Coating Triple Crown, which also doubles as Round 6 of the C&H Trucking Series.
The Pro Sprint field includes both 360 cubic inch and LS-powered Sprintcars, including current C&H Trucking points leader Jordan Rae aboard the Domain Ramsay-owned entry. In fact, all the top five in points have nominated for this weekend’s event.
With the field containing experienced drivers such as 410 Sprintcar front-runner Brett Milburn and 360 regular Michael Tancredi, the young brigade of Rae, Storer, Symons, and Wren won’t have it all their way.
Wingless Sprints always arrive in strong numbers, with this weekend no different, with fifty nominations competing for Round 5 of the Victorian Wingless Sprints Super Series.
Competition is always close in Wingless, with picking a winner difficult. It is a stout field with the likes of Todd Hobson, Chris Temby, local Luke Weel, veteran Peter Logue and Nicholas Ryan, who achieved a podium finish at the last event.
A host of interstate drivers will be looking to upset the Victorians with South Australians Mitch Broome, Kahn Ashton, Kirby Hillyer, and William Caruso joined by New South Wales duo Darren Bird and Troy Carey. Carey will buckle into one of the three Larry Fitzpatrick Motorsport entries that are nominated for Premier Speedway.
Part of the action on Saturday is the Super Rods, who will contest the annual Super Rod Cup. The nomination list includes last year’s Super Rod Cup winner Jamie May and current Victorian Champion Jacob Pitcher, amongst a high quality field.
Premier Speedway would like to thank 3YB and Coast FM for their support of this event and the fantastic advertising and promotion they provide to Premier Speedway all throughout the Speedway season.
Tickets are available from www.premierspeedway.com.au or can be purchased at the gate from 4.00pm on race day.
Public gates will open at 4.00pm with on-track action commencing from 5.00pm.
Ends release.
