Warrnambool’s Jamie Veal recorded his third open Sprintcar win of the season at Sungold Stadium Premier Speedway last weekend to put himself into a strong position to record an eighth Premier Speedway Track Championship.
Veal now holds a commanding 116-point lead heading into the final round on Easter Sunday ahead of another local Peter Doukas. With 150 points for a win the championship is not Veal’s yet.
Jordan Rae has rocketed from ninth to fourth in the standings and has a chance to move up further at the Easter Sunday Sprintcar Trail event.
South Australian Luke Dillon moves into the top ten, giving himself a chance to win one of the fantastic prizes donated by Warrnambool Trailers.
The final round will be held on Easter Sunday, April 20 with Super Rods and a massive Fireworks show on the program.
The $10,000 to win season long championship has great support from local businesses such as The Midfield Group, Fitzmedia Live and Warrnambool Trailers along with naming rights partner Total Tools Warrnambool.
