Despite early weather challenges, including the infamous “sea mist” often referenced at Premier Speedway, which caused delays and schedule adjustments, the on-track action delivered an exciting night of racing.

Once again, it was local star and track specialist Jamie Veal who rose to the occasion, securing victory in the 360/LS Sprintcar Victorian Title presented by DIRTXIND.

With the two-heat format placing a premium on clean air and passing opportunities, South Australia’s Ben Morris started on pole alongside Warrnambool’s own Will Carroll. Unfortunately, Carroll’s night ended early as he recorded the first DNF.

The feature race delivered an intense battle between Morris and Veal, with neither driver giving an inch. Veal showed patience, using lap traffic to his advantage while Morris defended relentlessly. The pair traded positions multiple times as they ran the high line, brushing the wall in pursuit of victory.

Ultimately, Veal emerged victorious, securing his second Victorian Title in a fortnight adding to an already impressive resume of Sprintcar Victorian titles.

Newly crowned C&H Trucking Australia number one Lockie McHugh finished second, while Tate Frost charged through the field from 11th to claim an impressive third-place finish.

This event also marked the third and final round of the Welsh’s Garage Doors & Gates Premier Speedway Track Championship, presented by DIRTXIND, resulting in a shake-up in the points standings.

In the Super Rod Cup, Jamie May delivered a dominant performance to claim victory, winning by over four seconds, while Michael Coad and Jacob Pitcher completed the podium.

The Production Sedans, a late addition to the program, provided a tightly contested battle, with Nathan Hutchins securing victory after a hard-fought 20 laps. Shane Hammond and Brad Colquhoun rounded out the top three.

Premier Speedway extends its gratitude to all presenting partners, including our event naming rights partner, DIRTXIND.
