The traditional Easter Sprintcar Trail descends on Sungold Stadium Premier Speedway on Easter Sunday, April 9 for the final event of the season.

Forty Sprintcars have nominated for the event sponsored by WMI Feeders, which is the final night of the Easter Trail and the final round of the Total Tools Warrnambool Track Championship.

Current Australian Champion Jock Goodyer heads the nomination list but Goodyer won’t have all his way with former Australian Champion Marcus Dumesny continuing a family tradition of heading south at Easter.

Brock Hallett, the current Grand Annual Sprintcar Champion is on the nomination list. Hallett has been in top form of late and is in a strong position to also take out the Total Tools Warrnambool Track Championship. Although not yet nominated, Jamie Veal is expected to be a starter and defend his Track Championship while current points leader Lochie McHugh could also venture south should plans deviate from competing at Toowoomba.

Add in the likes of talented South Australian Luke Dillon, ‘the gun’ Grant Anderson, Supercar star Cameron Waters and New South Wales Troy Little who showcased his speed at last year’s Easter Trail, the contest to take the chocolates will be hard fought.

Sprintcars will contest a group Time Trial session, one round of heats with the top 6 in each heat inverted followed by the mains including a C, B and 30 Lap A-Main.

The support program is fantastic with over twenty Super Rods competing on all three nights of the Easter Trail. Late Models are also on the program, their first return to Premier Speedway since their Australian Championship plus a huge Fireworks display during the evening.

A pit walk will run from 3.00pm to 4.00pm allowing patrons to walk through the pit compound prior to the event starting. It is a great opportunity to meet the drivers and get some autographs.

Public gates open at 3.00pm

Racing starts from 5.00pm

Tickets can be purchased at www.premierspeedway.com.au or can be purchased at the gate from 3.00 pm on race day.

If you can’t make it live the event will be live streamed by Fitzmedia Productions
