This Saturday, March 16 at Sungold Stadium marks Round 9 of the Total Tools Warrnambool Sprintcar Track Championship.

Warrnambool’s Jamie Veal is the current points leader heading into this weekend’s penultimate round with the tenth and final round set for Easter Sunday where the winner will receive a massive $10,000, thanks to Total Tools Warrnambool.

Veal has led the standings since round 2 courtesy of two wins and two second place finishes out of the first four rounds. Veal has only been out of the top 5 in points on one occasion this season.

Due to the small points increment the championship winner is likely to come down to the final round with the top three in points separated by only 106 points.

Portland’s Brock Hallett the defending Total Tools Warrnambool Track Champion sits second with Cameron Waters scoring consistent finishes rounding out the top three.

Former Australian Champion Jock Goodyer sits in fifth, 176 points behind Veal. Goodyer would require some luck accompanied with strong finishes in the final two rounds to have a chance of clinching this year’s title.

Make sure you are trackside when the battle resumes Saturday night at Sungold Stadium Premier Speedway.

Nominations have continued to increase for this weekend with thirty-one Sprintcars, thirty-five Pro Sprintcars and nineteen Super Rods making up the entries.
