The Premier Speedway Club are delighted to announce Warrnambool bar and restaurant The Flying Horse as the Naming Rights partner of the Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic.

The exciting announcement reveals the 2024 event as The Flying Horse Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic, with the commitment from The Flying Horse and Rafferty’s Tavern for the next three years covering the 2024, 2025 & 2026 Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic.

The partnership is credited to local businessman Mark McIlroy, director of The Flying Horse and Rafferty’s Tavern venues. Carlton United Breweries (CUB) are also involved in the partnership and will be the official alcoholic beverage supplier to the largest Speedway event in the southern hemisphere.

It is fantastic to have another local business put their support behind Premier Speedway, investing back into the event which brings significant economic benefit to the Warrnambool region commented Premier Speedway General Manager Michael Parry. I am keen for the opportunity to work with The Flying Horse team and CUB representatives who have an extensive association with managing successful events said Mr. Parry.

The Flying Horse team are really excited for the opportunity to partner with Premier Speedway and support an extremely prestigious event. The Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic is not only important to the town of Warrnambool but also to the supporters of Sprintcar racing Australia wide. We are looking forward to this shared opportunity for the next three years said Mark McIlroy director of the Flying Horse and Rafferty’s Tavern.

Carlton United Breweries are heavily involved and will be proudly supplying all their key brands to Premier Speedway patrons. Business Development Executive Peter Vandecamp said CUB are excited to be partnering with The Flying Horse to support yet another iconic sporting event. We are pumped to be playing a role in supporting Premier Speedway while also embracing one of Warrnambool’s major events.
