Official Release: Premier Speedway

Exciting action unfolded at Sungold Stadium Premier Speedway as fans, both at the venue and watching on Fitz Media Live, witnessed a thrilling night of racing as drivers battled for the dual Victorian Titles presented by 3YB & Coast FM along with Ramsdale Wreckers.

Following a round of intense heat racing, the feature lineups were set, leading to action-packed drama in both the Modified Sedans and Street Stocks categories.

In the Modified Sedans, Queensland’s Joel Berkley maneuvered his way to the front using the top groove, only to suffer a tyre failure, abruptly ending his night.

Former National champion Brock Atkins also faced early setbacks, relinquishing his lead and leaving the field wide open for competition.

Tasmania’s Jakobe Jetson seized the lead with just over 20 laps to go, seemingly poised for victory. However, Bendigo’s Brad Wicks had other ideas and took control dominating the remainder of the race to claim a Victorian Title win.

Brody Chrystle showcased impressive resilience, battling in the top three for the majority of the 35-lap race, ultimately securing a commendable second-place finish. The much loved Tasmanian Jakobe Jetson would have to settle for third.

In the highly anticipated Street Stocks category, eight-time National Champion Anthony Beare initially asserted his dominance before encountering power steering issues, surrendering the lead to Hayden Norman.

Norman maintained his lead with an almost flawless performance over the weekend, but it was Nathan Thorne’s historic comeback that stole the spotlight.

Starting from the B main, Thorne advanced to P18 in the main event to secure a sensational victory, ensuring his place in the annals of Victorian Title history for generations to come.

Hailing from the small town of Tennant Creek in the Northern Territory, Jack Yates impressed the crowd by clinching second place.

Meanwhile, Jason Duell, starting from P15, fought his way to claim third, rounding off an exhilarating night of racing at Premier Speedway.
